Grandparents
For those lucky enough to have grandparents around—they can play a very important role in our lives. In many families grandparents help watch the children, the children love them for the extra encouragement and to play with. But as grandparents age and need a little extra help themselves—the grandchildren learn about caring, helping , encouragement and kindness. Often times the passing on of a grandparent is a child’s first experience with death, remembering and loving still through those memories. If you have a grandparent or special older friend you can honor them on grandparents day—Sunday, September 7.
